Besides being an avenue for the students’ own work, the city is vibrant with an artistic cultural atmosphere which provides unique events for the students’ edification and enjoyment. Known as “Canada’s Festival City” and named Canada’s Cultural Capital for 2007, Edmonton maintains a reputation of being one of the largest and well-developed cultural cities in the nation. The Alberta Ballet, Edmonton Opera, Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, various Live Theatre venues, Film Festivals, art galleries and museums are easily accessible.
